(PHILFOODEX), Philippine Association of Food Technologists (PAFT), Association of Food Cart Owners & Suppliers, Inc. (AFO) and Philippine Franchise Association (PFA).

It achieved yet another sweet success as it has brought together a total 38, 078 who witnessed quality showcases from 560 local and foreign exhibitor companies coming from 29 countries.

The 2nd Grand Barista Cup in AFEX 2008

For the second time in AFEX 2008, The Grand Barista Cup was also a victory for participating baristas demonstrating skills and passion in making gourmet coffee. The competition were being judged by a panel of well known chefs like Chef Heny Sison, President, Chief Instructor and Owner of the Heny Sison Culinary Schools: Chef Gene Gonzalez, Founder of Café Ysabel and the Center of Asian Culinary Arts: and Chef Jay Gamboa of El Circulo and Azuthai Restaurants. Consequently, the next grand barista champion in 2009 will be the official Philippine representative to compete at the Asian Barista Cup 2010 in Singapore.
