The 2nd Philippine Mixology Cup (PMC) in collaboration with Philippine Bartenders’ League, Inc., Food & Drinks Asia, and Allegro Beverage Corporation will be staging its 2nd annual event at the following venues and dates:
- Mixology & Flairtending Exhibition and Workshop on Fri, July 22, 5pm-7pm at SM Manila
- Mixology & Flairtending Exhibition and Workship on Fri, July 29, 5pm-7pm at SM Lazaro
- PMC Luzon & NCR Elimination on Sat, August 27, 2:30pm-6:00pm at Sky Garden, SM The Block
- The 2nd Philippine Mixology Cup on Sat, September 3, 2:30pm-6:00pm at Food and Drinks Asia 2011, World Trade Center.

The PMC will have two competition categories: Creative Mixology Cup, which will focus on the bartenders’ creativity in making cocktails with a unique taste and presentation, prepared in a professional mixing ability; The Ultimate Flairtending Challenge, will focus more on the choreographed showmanship of the bartender while making their entry cocktail.
Qualified representatives from NCR & Metro Manila, Baguio, Visayas and Mindanao will vie for the two bragging rights titles and winners will take home a trophy, cash and grand prizes. Moreover, PMC serves as a national selection and jumping board for the winners to represent the Philippines in International Bartending competitions abroad.

Supermarket Uprising!” at Grocery Asia
As Grocery Asia is launched this September, the Philippine Amalgamated Supermarkets Association (PAGASA) ties up with LNA Management Group Corp.>organizers of Food & Drinks Asia and Grocery Asia in holding its Conference called “Supermarket Uprising!” This is in conjunction with PAGASA’s Celebration of its 25th Year as an Industry Association serving the mass market and consuming public. 
“Supermarket Uprising!” will be an afternoon Conference on 2 September 2011. It will feature seven suppliers who are market leaders in their respective categories and supermarket operators/owners who have seldom come out to share their opinion and experience in this highly-competitive business.
Sealing the agreement to this collaboration was Mr. Steven Cua, President, PAGASA and Ms. Josephine Miranda, EVP – LNA Management Group as witnessed by Ms. Marivic Gacer, Project Manager - GROCERY ASIA and Ms. Lizette dela Cruz, Project Manager – AFEX; this will only be the first amongst the bigger plans of PAGASA and LNA tie-ups in their support to the Supermarket and Food Retail Industry.
