PROMAP joins AFEX 2011 coinciding PROMAP’s 24th Annual Convention

Production and Operations Management Association of the Philippines (PROMAP), joins the biggest and longest running food event in the country, ASIAFOOD EXPO 2011 with the PROMAP Product Pavilion, showcasing the best from their members; coinciding with AFEX 2011 will be PROMAP’s 24th Annual Convention with the Theme: Winning Back Philippine Manufacturing Competitiveness – An Urgent Imperative, which will be held at the Century Park Hotel, September 8-9, 2011.

Founded in 1977, PROMAP is a non-profit organization composed of manufacturing professionals and businesses. PROMAP believes that manufacturing is the key to the sustained economic growth of the country. Manufacturing provides not only jobs, but also opportunities for small and medium-scale enterprises to flourish by providing critical supply chain logistics for consumer-driven organizations.

PROMAP’s participation to AFEX 2011 was mutually agreed and signified by Mr. Melchor Choi Bacsa (2010 President, now Executive Director, PROMAP) and Ms. Josephine Miranda (Executive Vice President, LNA; organizers of Asiafood Expo); witnessed by Ms. Wilma Bocaya (2011 President, PROMAP) and Ms. Lizette de la Cruz (AFEX 2011 Project Manager, LNA).

In joining AFEX 2011, PROMAP stands to their goal in reaching out and helping to grow and sustain a high performance manufacturing presence that is a critical element to the overall economic strength of the Philippines.
